Had a mid-week break at the Loft. If it was possible to stay here once a month, then life would be complete. The Loft was gorgeous - slept so well and the shower sobered me up ready for the following evening ! My husband was born around this area so took him back to childhood memories. Recommend the Romilly Hotel for cool beer , icing on the cake was Heaneys Restaurant - takes you to another level- amazing food, wine and people. Looking to return in September to do it all again . We enjoyed a delightful five night stay at 82 Cathedral. The flat was everything that’s promised in the listing and reflected in reviewers’ comments. The Pontcanna neighborhood is charming with many shops, eateries and pubs and within walking distance of the Castle and city center. Municipal buses (tap on, tap off) run along Cathedral Street giving you easy access to the entire city. And while Cathedral is a busy thoroughfare, you never hear the street noise from the bedroom or loft. Don’t forget to visit the enchanting Sophia Gardens, just a five-minute walk from the flat. We hope to return soon!

The Loft is one of a series of rentable spaces in the same large house, located in a great part of Cardiff. Its very convenient in terms of location, 5 mins from the park, 5 mins from a handful of nice pubs, 10mins to the stadium and city centre. Quiet place to stay and incredibly good if you have a dog or are driving, with secure private parking just round the back of the property.

the Loft was such a great find. Very spacious, clean and felt very homely. 15 min walk to Cardiff castle with nice pubs 2s away. It was quiet and incredibly good value for money I would 100% recommend. There are 2 things to note though, the parking is tight to turn into if cars parked in front of the garage, don't bring a big car. The second is the platform they use for check in and information, you essentially get your own guest area on a website, which sounds great in practice but personally I did not like this. It required a huge amount of information to begin with, including credit card and passport photos and signing of waivers. I've never had to do this for air BnB and I didn't like it. It's useful to have all information and area suggestions in one place but it's quite impersonal. The platform also chases you to say exactly when you are going to check out and give ratings sending notifications if you don't fill this in! Did not like this format.

Really cute apartment! The entire building is quite stunning. Pretty art everywhere, cool decor, plenty of books etc. Felt very vibey. The hosts were lovely too, very responsive. Another positive is that it feels super private, safe and cosy. Great shower as well, probably one of the best ones I’ve experienced at an Airbnb. The kitchen is a little plain but you can pretty much cook anything up. All in all, the hosts made the experience so much better, and they have a little dedicated guest area on their website which makes the check in so much fun! Its super cool and very professional. A warm and creative period flat in an upmarket location. We used The Loft as a base for exploring South Wales. Our girls loved the sleeping arrangements in the eaves. Had all mod cons and crispy clean linen and towels. We brought along the dog - if you are planning on doing the same, be mindful that it’s 3-storeys down for a wee! We were all more than satisfied with the accommodation - thanks to the hosts for making it as comfortable as possible. Definitely would use this place again.

We had a very comfortable stay at the loft! Great neighbourhood - a stone’s throw away from the beautiful Bute Park and close to town. The hosts were very responsive, and the space was well-designed and spacious with all the amenities we required, both for our baby and dog. We really enjoyed our stay in Cardiff at Pedro and Alina's flat. It is situated at the top of one of the beautiful old houses on Cathedral Road, but please note there are a few flights of stairs. The flat is perfect for 4 people, with a decent size bathroom and small but comfortable kitchen, dining and living area. The location is perfect for pubs, restaurants and cafes within 2-10 minute walk, and Cardiff city centre is no more than a 20 minute walk. The Cricket Ground is a mere 6 minute walk and Cardiff Arms Park for rugby is 14 minutes. Llandaff Fields, Sophia Gardens and Pontcanna Fields are all 5-20 minute walk, with Cardiff Riding School situated in the latter. We look forward to returning in the future!

The hostel is outstanding. I booked it for my mom and grandma and they couldn’t believe how low the price was compared to what they got. We had to arrange a last minute business trip, staying just 24 hours in Cardiff.Pedro and Aline could not have been more helpful! We arrived late and tired and were delighted to walk into a quirky, comfortable and well-thought out apartment in a beautiful Victorian house. Warm, lovely colours and soft furnishings everywhere, everything we needed laid out, a strong shower and a cosy bed to sleep in. It's in a great location with Sophia Gardens nearby for our dogs. Next time we'll stay longer! Helpful tip: the garage is behind the house down a short lane, so it's worth parking outside on Cathedral Road to unload first if possible.

This apartment is in a lovely location. Great little pub over the road and a coffi shop as well that does a great breakfast. A short walk into the city centre through the park is highly recommended. There is no lift so make sure you are prepared to carry your bags to the top story. Not unusual or unexpected in this part of the world though. I was a little put off when asked to do an online check in form via a separate email sent but after some research and discussion with Alina was satisfied enough to hand over ID and credit card details. This is all mentioned in the house rules on air bnb so is above board.

My eldest son and I spent a lovely weekend in Cardiff visiting my younger son. The apartment was wonderful with limited kitchen facilities but that didn’t bother us. It was in a very quiet neighbourhood and only a few minute cycle from the city centre and a very easy bike to Cardiff Bay. The bike station was literally a 2 minute walk away. 82 Cathedral Road is a lovely property very clean and well maintained. It is located in a lovely part of Cardiff with the city centre just a 10-15 minute walk away through the lovely park by the river Taff. There is good, secure, off street parking at the rear although there is no direct access from the parking area to the rear of the property and you have to walk to the front via a path through the adjacent property to go in via the front door. The kitchen area is very compact and could only really be used for preparing a simple breakfast or perhaps warming up a microwave dinner. That said there are plenty of lovely places to eat and drink a short walk from the Loft, in Pontcanna, and the nearby city centre has even more choice of places for food. The bed was extremely comfy and the shower excellent. Good quality bedding and towels are provided. The hosts were very good and responded quickly to any queries we had. We would stay here again.

Fantastically situated: a convenient walk to the centre of Cardiff and the cute area of Pontcanna (where we took a stroll one evening to hear a local choir practising in the nearby small park!) with coffee shops in abundance. Being so close to Llandaff Fields and Bute Park was amazing for the dog, and we were pleased to find a place that accepted pets (albeit for an extra fee). The loft itself was beautiful, with a romantic nook up on the mezzanine. The kitchen area is rather small & dark, although it has the basic amenities, but because of that we mostly ate out. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the cutlery and sink, but understand that it's been a busy time for cleaning crews. The beds and linen were perfectly clean however and the shower was amazing! Check in was easy and allowed us freedom to come and go as we pleased without stress.

This is a beautiful, stylish, comfortable self-contained flat in a gorgeous house in a fabulous location (Pontcanna). We used it as a base for doing some family genealogy in the Welsh valleys but it also is ideally located for easy access to central Cardiff (walkable or a short taxi/Uber ride). Pedro and Alina were brilliant hosts: great communication; quick responses. Impressed by the 'app' that provide lots of useful information: especially liked the recommendations of local restaurants (at the time of writing make sure you book ahead given COVID seating restrictions). Great location in Cardiff; about 20 min walk from Cardiff central station and also nearby to several parks/bike paths. Very good restaurants in walking distance as well. We brought our dog who also loved the apartment. Note that there is a £10 per night fee for bringing your dog, which is reasonable, but was a surprise since it is not mentioned anywhere in the listing.

Pedro's flat was incredible. The location is right in a very central part of town with many pubs/ restaurants that me and my partner enjoyed. the flat is really a home away from home, except it's more of a 'dream' home away from home. The apartment is beautifully furnished and luxurious. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb for a couples trip away. I will 100% be staying here again. Thank you for such a pleasant stay!! xx

Beautiful and stylish apartment in a fantastic location. Easy to find and very accurate instructions on where to park. Very spacious and well decorated, this is a superb place to stay. Despite there being a minor issue with the plumbing in the apartment below (which meant we were unable to turn the water on for a short time), Pedro and Alina were very quick to respond and offer a solution to the problem. Excellent hosts who really care about you having a great stay. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again in the future.

We loved the apartment, stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the quirky aspect to the upstairs, as did our 6yr old daughter. She loved the day bed and made a little den there. Good for couples too. We also enjoyed the location, close to town and our hosts were quick to respond when I asked them couple of questions before we arrived.

A lovely comfortable flat. Hard to understand the layout from the photos, but it has a conventional ‘floor’ with a semi-open mezzanine above with the other sleeping area. All clean & cosy.

Super stylish and cosy place, literally a 10-15min walk to centre of town. Fab location. Spotless and clean with an amazing power shower. Hot water a bit slow in the mornings,but perfectly fine once it got going. Flat about 20-25 steps up, but nothing strenuous, with landing breaks inbetween. Pedro was a brilliant host- great communication and very quick to respond. Check in process also very clear to understand. Impressed with the app for further info on our booking and the area. Would be happy to stay again.

I wish all Airbnb hosts could be like Pedro and Alina. This flat is perfect. In an amazing location. Great deco, very thoughtful touches and everything super clean. We had a health issue with our daughter and Pedro was amazing and quick helping us understand where we could go and then checked back up to ensure she was okay. They are amazing and I would highly recommend them
