The primary Guest is responsible for ensuring that the accommodation is left in the condition it was in upon check-in. Primary Guest shall be liable for any damages caused by his or her own acts and omissions (including without limitation failure to timely vacate the accommodation) and also for the acts and omissions of any individuals that Primary Guest invites or otherwise allows into the accommodation.
Online check-in with ID collection and deposit pre-authorisation is required prior to arrival.
For stays over 2 weeks, a weekly mid-stay cleaning (charged at the same price as a cleaning fee) must be paid, this will include a full change of linen and general cleaning and such will be arranged directly with your hosts.
Tŷ Hapus is exclusively yours, without interruption for the duration of your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home.

We give our guests full privacy although we are always available either by phone, text or in the app itself if anything is needed.
We have created a no-contact system to allow our guests to check-in into the property by filling in an Online Check-In form and check in without any contact.

Once booked you receive a self-check-in form, which requires you to scan your ID and credit card, pre-authorise a security deposit and sign terms and conditions. After this info is processed your access codes are released and you can access the property via a lockbox.

Towels and toiletries provided. Easy access to the house and on street parking only. Rear garden slightly overgrown but didnt bother our dogs.

January 2024We stayed with family at ‘Ty Hapus’ Newport over Christmas, the house is spacious, large rooms with stylish decoration. The kitchen is a great size, good size hob/ovens & plenty of space for 6 adults. Large fridge/ freezer for food/drinks. Needs more dining chairs to seat more than 4 guests. There’s just one full bathroom with a shower, had to organise showering in shifts which wasn’t a problem. Few issues, poor internet connection, which couldn’t be resolved, used our hotspot. The coffee machine didn’t work. The portable heaters were useful, a few radiators didn’t work. Few things missing eg first aid kit, fire extinguishers, extra pillows, board games. We had to buy cleaning materials. The house is spread over four floors, a floor plan would give guests a clear idea of the layout. No fire safety guides /escape notices. Kitchen is down a flight of stairs, we had a toddler no safety gates was an issue. However we had a great time would recommend Pedro and Alina were excellent hosts.

November 2023Pedron & Alina’s place is large and was perfect for our 2 families traveling together. Beds were comfortable and kitchen is big! If the back yard was renovated this place would be outstanding!! Only downside was a full outside bin which the hosts couldn’t really help as bin collection day was approaching. Something to note is the clothes dryer listed isn’t actually a “dryer”, it’s an airing rack which we discovered after check in. Other than that it was a great stay and we would definitely stay again.

A good space for a family, maybe not the best layout for a toddler as we have, due to the amount of stairs, but other than that, family friendly. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful even after we had left helping us locate something we left behind!

July 2023We cannot express how beautiful this property is. Our stay was wonderful and the house is a great location for what we needed. Pedro and Alina were extremely accommodating and invested in our needs at the house and were super attentive. We added my parents very last minute to our stay and messaged for a few extra towels and cutlery - not only were they super prompt in their reply - but they brought them over first thing the next morning. We would definitely stay here again when we are back in the uk and would highly recommend here to anyone wanting to find a lovely and modern place to stay.

April 2023The place was advertised as family friendly howeve i would say older children. I had a 2 and 1 year old and because of the strep stairs going into the kitchen, the large hole in the living room floor and the wires for the tv and bt box all over the place i would not recommend for families with little children like myself. The house would be better if there were safety gates. We did experience minimal hot water and it was a bit chilly. However the house was beauifully modernised and decorated and also really clean.

July 2022Pedro and Alina are excellent communicators and really want the best for their guests. They answered my many questions with patience and cooperation about the house and facilities. We were an extended family of 8 with a dog and we had plenty of space. The house itself is beautiful. It is in a fantastic location right next to a quiet park at the top of a hill overlooking Newport, with wonderful views from the fourth floor at night! There are also local shops nearby and a short bus ride takes you into the town centre. Another short journey by train and you can visit Cardiff, Bath or Bristol. If it is walking and countryside you are after visit Cwmcarn Fforest Drive and Twmbarlwm. Our dog loved it! Thank you again to Pedro and Alina for a very relaxing and well managed visit. Definitely worth a stay!

July 2022My friends and I stayed at Kensington Place for a weekend and it was wonderful. The decor is lovely and all the rooms are a great size. There is one full bathroom and 2 cloakrooms, which made the showering arrangement tedious for our group of 8, but ultimately the pros outweighed this. I would highly recommend this place and Pedro and Alina are fantastic hosts who are always quick and friendly in their communication. Super host status completely deserved.

May 2022We didn’t know the area too well as we have stay for work and only usually see the hotel rooms. The location of the house is about a mile from the town centre so walkable. In the immediate area there is a lovely little park and woodlands for the dogs or older children to explore. The property is lovely, well equipped and has everything you need to cook if you want to or an array of nearby takeaways that deliver.
