The primary Guest is responsible for ensuring that the accommodation is left in the condition it was in upon check-in. Primary Guest shall be liable for any damages caused by his or her own acts and omissions (including without limitation failure to timely vacate the accommodation) and also for the acts and omissions of any individuals that Primary Guest invites or otherwise allows into the accommodation.
Online check-in with ID collection and deposit pre-authorisation is required prior to arrival.
For stays over 2 weeks, a weekly mid-stay cleaning (charged at the same price as a cleaning fee) must be paid, this will include a full change of linen and general cleaning, this will be arranged directly with your hosts.
We have created a no-contact system to allow our guests to check-in into the property by filling in an Online Check-In form and check in without any contact.
The property is exclusively yours, without interruption for the duration of your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home.
We give our guests full privacy although we are always available either by phone, text or in the app itself if anything is needed.
Parking for Dock House is space 27
There's plenty of free non allocated parking available usually on East Dock Road.
Once booked you receive a self-check-in form, which requires you to scan your ID and credit card, pre-authorise a security deposit and sign terms and conditions. After this info is processed your access codes are released and you can access the property via a lockbox.

March 2024This is a really nice house in a quiet area of Newport. It was clean, well equipped and we felt very comfortable. Pedro was always on hand for any questions and our stay was great value for money. It wasn’t far to walk to the centre of Newport where there are numerous places to eat. I’d give a shout out to The Lamb, only just reopened, a proper pub, no food, but a very friendly host with great beers. The Old Murenger too is worth a visit. It was a nice surprise to find 2 EV charging points just yards up the road, and they were fully functioning! Not like some! Overall we had a very nice stay and would use Dock House again if we come back to Newport. Thank you Pedro and Alina

January 2024We spent New Years at the Dock House and it is a quiet residential area with great access to Newport centre which is a short walk alongside the river. Plus a Lidl and Asda a short drive away. Lots of shops and restaurants to explore and this suited us as close to family who live in Newport centre. The house was just as the pictures showed, a lovely large house, we found trying to find the property and the parking area difficult as we arrived in the dark and rain! But once found it was close to the house which was easy to come and go and parking was easy as always a space to find. Back access available as well to the car park plus the bins. The house had a few issues but I contacted the owners and they responded the same day and sent someone the next day to resolve and fix these issues raised. Overall the only thing I would suggest is maybe a folder to be put into the property with all the codes and house info and local tourist info. Overall Excellent Property

December 2023The house was a great base for us while we visited family for Christmas. It has lots of space which was really helpful given that we were 5 adults and 2 dogs. Being right next to the riverside path was ideal for walking the dogs and taking part in the local park run. The house was clean and well equipped, and Pedro and Alina were very responsive - Pedro came out on Christmas Eve to sort out a problem with one of the toilets. We would be happy to return!

Easy to access Newport City centre for shops/pubs/restaurants and train station which is just a £6 taxi ride from the property, although it is walkable if anyone fancies a good stretch of the legs. Ideally placed for visits in and out of Cardiff which is approx 15 min train ride. Good pub/restaurant about 4 mins walk from property. Excellent value for money.

Parking is a bit of a nightmare, with the one space reserved for the house used by the residents, meaning no parking is available apart from the restricted (2 hours at a time between 8amand 6pm) parking at the side of the property.
