The Pontcanna Sapphire, located at 86 Ryder Street, is a thoughtfully renovated apartment offering a unique blend of history and modern luxury. The open-plan living space features a modern kitchen, a cozy sofa, and an elegant dining area overlooking a leafy street. The two bedrooms are beautifully appointed with high-quality furnishings and luxurious bedding. A fully equipped modern bathroom, Victorian fireplace, high ceilings, original ceiling covings, solid oak floors, and early 20th-century tiles at the front porch complete the aesthetic allure of this apartment.
Nestled in the chic Pontcanna village, our location is unbeatable. Many of Cardiff’s finest restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are on the doorstep. The neighbourhood boasts a rich cultural scene and was voted one of the best suburbs in the UK by the Daily Telegraph. It’s a short walk from Cardiff city centre, Sophia Gardens, and the beautiful Bute Park, with quick access to Cardiff Castle and Principality Stadium.
The primary guest is responsible for ensuring that the accommodation is left in the condition it was in upon check-in. Primary Guest shall be liable for any damages caused by his or her own acts and omissions (including without limitation failure to timely vacate the accommodation) and also for the acts and omissions of any individuals that Primary Guest invites or otherwise allows into the accommodation.
Online check-in and deposit pre-authorisation are required prior to arrival.
For stays over 2 weeks, a weekly mid-stay cleaning (charged at the same price as a cleaning fee) week must be paid, this will include a full change of linen and general cleaning, this will be arranged directly with your hosts.
Pet charges are applied on top of the booking fee.
Guests will have complete access to the entire apartment, which includes an open-plan kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. Please note that you will need to climb stairs immediately after opening the front door to reach the living quarters.
While we offer a self-check-in process for your convenience, we remain available and responsive should you need any assistance during your stay. We are happy to provide recommendations or answer any questions to ensure your stay is enjoyable and comfortable.
The apartment is part of a residential community, hence hen, stag parties, or loud noises are not allowed. For safety, the entryway and outside the property are monitored by CCTV. The property promotes an eco-friendly lifestyle in line with Cardiff Council's One Planet Cardiff Vision. Free street parking is available within 3 minute walks from the property but may be limited at peak times. We provide you with a map on where to find possible available free parking in the area,
Once booked you receive a self-check-in form, which requires you to scan your ID and credit card, pre-authorise a security deposit and sign terms and conditions. After this info is processed your access codes are released and you can access the property via a lockbox.

April 2024We had a great time in Pedro and Alina's place. The flat is modern, well furnished and beds are really comfortable. The neighbourhoor is quiet and peaceful, but the city centre is walking distance. Would highly recommend!

March 2024Beautiful stay in an amazing location, the hosts Pedro & Alina were incredibly accommodating, friendly & responsive. The apartment is even better than the photos in person - everything designed with an immaculate finish. The neighbourhood is lovely, lots of things to do and central, it was still very peaceful with a lovely sound of the birds in the garden in the morning. Overall, I’d highly recommend & will be staying again in the future! Thanks so much :)

March 2024My partner and I stayed Pedro and Alina’s apartment for a long weekend and we could not think of a better place to have stayed in. Situated in Pontcanna, the apartment is able to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city whilst only being a quick walk to the city centre. There are plenty of amenities around and we managed to visit some of the nearby cafes (our favourite being Ground Bakery.) The apartment is incredibly spacious and is decorated in a very clean but cosy manner. The shower was by far my favourite part of this flat! Whilst living in Cardiff for 6 years parking was always an issue, however, that was not the case here as Pedro and Alina recommended nearby free parking spots which we were able use for the entirety of our stay. Great hosts with excellent communication on the run up to our stay, I would recommend everyone to stay at this apartment if they are visiting Cardiff!
